Agenda:
1. While Congress has acted hardly at all to Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) – leaving such initiatives to the discretion of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin, or Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins – legislatures in the 50 States have not remained so impotent, but not always in the right direction. Indeed, several have advanced bills to bar lawsuits by victims of farm pesticide abuse. We urgently need your emails (based upon NHF’s sample email, click here) against these bills. Mr. Vlieger was in Tennessee to assist with the effort to stop the legislation introduced there. He has also contributed the last two years in Iowa to defeat this type of legislation. Not only will he explain the importance of holding to account the purveyors of chemical agriculture, but also he’ll explain what changes are needed on the farms to MAHA (to stop Farm Poisoning, send NHF’s email now).
2. So, what in MAHA actually CAN pass a divided Congress? When starting the coalition to pass Trump’s MAHA agenda, Mr. Burns and his team needed evidence on what most Americans wanted for health freedom – necessary to convince recalcitrant Democrats they would lose support for resisting change. The MAHA reforms that a majority will support include clear labeling of recommended medical interventions, choice in regards to the same, honest science backing recommended treatments, and accountability for corporations if they lie about such suggestions. Shannon’s coalition sees a common theme of “Transparency” connecting these changes, and he wants everyone to come to Washington, DC the week of June 23rd to urge their politicians to support our efforts. NHF will attend and exhibit – and hopes that you will take advantage of their offer of discounted registration through the end of April 21st! Meanwhile, send NHF’s email for Congress to MAHA!
