And, nothing is stopping the Federal Communications Commission from finalizing the same preemption in its own docket 25-276.
We need calls and emails to kill H.R. 2289, which passed the Energy and Commerce Committee and is expected today to get “instructions” from the Rules Committee for an eventual debate on the House floor.
Easily and quickly - TODAY - you can:
Input your address to fire off this sample email to your U.S. Rep. and both Senators to oppose HR 2289. Send a second comment to the FCC opposing their preemption proposal.
Call 202-225-3121 (the Capitol Hill operator) to be transferred to your Rep. If you don’t know who that is, click here to input your address to find out. Ask for the “telecom staffer” to say - or just leave as a message:
"urge defeat of Energy and Commerce-passed HR 2289 when considered on the House floor, and write to FCC against docket 25-276, both of which preempt property owner cooperation with local officials to zone cell towers sufficiently far from our kids’ schools, nearby parks and homes whose values get crushed 20% by ugly, dangerous towers. Instead, cosponsor Rep. Smith's (NJ) HR 8354 to restore local discretion on where safely to site wireless radiation-emitting infrastructure."
For background, watch my video and read the supporting text at my previous substack, “The Towers are Coming, the Towers are Coming”.
Or watch my interview with healer and Idaho GOP official DeHaas about his party’s unwillingness to help RFK limit cell tower deployment, in order to reverse chronic disease and instead Make America Healthy Again (MAHA).
Mr. DeHaas is frustrated his supposedly MAHA-friendly congressman, Russ Fulcher, wants to end environmental reviews that the congressman thinks are keeping his rural residents from having good cell service. What Mr. Fulcher’s staffer didn’t know when we met with him was that environmental harm INCLUDES harm to humans. Fulcher sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee that refuses to cooperate with RFK on making technology safer and less implicated in the epidemic of chronic disease.
One Republican who is open to learning from RFK on cell phone dangers is Texas conservative Chip Roy, who tweeted:
I also know that we are only 15 years into the iphone revolution and a mere 25 years into the cell-phones-are-everywhere-thing… and my trust that it’s all safe (putting aside how much they suck and kill our kids without regard to radiation through porn and screen addiction) has to depend on more government bureaucrats and more frigging conflicted “experts.” Maybe it’s quackery to suggest otherwise, I don’t f’ing know… I am just told to trust the studies. But I don’t trust those institutions any longer because we’ve been sold BS for so long - from COVID to “food pyramids.”
Mr. Roy sits on the Rules Committee that today will determine whether House debate on HR 2289 will allow amendments to make it less harmful to Americans, property values and federalism (local control).
Specifically, the bill:
* Automatically approves Antennas on any structure: Local governments “may not deny and shall approve” (Sec 103, page 37 line 20) any antenna on any structure that “could support transmission equipment” (Sec 103, page 48 line 3), even if the location was never permitted for antennas. In this dramatic expansion of Section 6409 preemption (47 USC 1455), local governments would have no control over new antennas on any structure – for example, utility poles, light poles, buildings, overhead wires, apartments, single-family houses, schools, buildings, and more. Based on available data, antennas on existing structures represent at least 98% of deployments since 2020; and
* Render New structures impossible to deny: In the cases where a carrier would like to build a new tower (which is less than 2% of deployments), local governments would be forced to approve these too – even in the front yard of a single-family home. Local governments would not be able to prohibit the “improvement or enhancement” of any wireless service, including for data (Sec 101, page 4 line 1), thus absolving carriers from having to show a gap in voice service in order to justify new deployments. These and other problems linked above explain the intense opposition by the orgs for local officials.
Closer cell towers will increase the fraction of Americans injured by radio frequency microwave radiation which already harms a third of us. Indeed, 80% of studies when not funded by Telecom find harm.
RFK is having his MAHA investigators spend even more money to find wireless radiation harm. 90% of homebuyers decline Realtor offers of homes located too close to an antenna tower, because property owners don’t want to lose home value. The Safe Tech movement is teaching all of us to turn our routers off at night, keep our cell phones in airplane mode when in the pocket, demand fiber or cable for fixed broadband at home, limit our kids’ screen time and refuse wireless earbuds, and opt out of smart utility meters. We’re learning that when it comes to wireless, distance is your friend. (And more than ever we need daily barefoot walks on our lawns, to align our bodies to the healing frequency of the Sun).
Freedom Hub, another venture of mine, platformed an early leader in the smart meter optout movement, Josh Del Sol, who went into more detail how to protect ones family from the endlessly densifying wireless mesh:
Democrats oppose preemption of local cell tower location discretion, but Republicans don’t. Why? Is it really just to get Telecom’s fat checks for reelection? Because preemption certainly is not needed for local officials to approve cell towers. 99% of Americans already can make cell phone calls. Just last month a county in Washington state seemed hell bent on forcing property owners to accept an unwanted tower, until I testified against it for lack of need. Also testifying was renowned telecom lawyer Scott McCollough, who’s joining me later this week at the Dallas conf of my lobbying client, theNHF.com. Not only do politicians stand to lose reelection financing if H.R. 2289 fails, but also telecom stands to lose money. That’s because a broadband wire costs nothing for half a century, after the initial investment to dig ditches to get the fiber to ones house. Antennas, on the other hand, have a short life of 5 years, and will earn Telecom profit from constant upgrades, repairs and taxpayer subsidies.
More importantly, with sensors in appliances and cars, as well as routers, devices and smart meters, Telecom has a densifying wireless mesh via the “Internet of Things” that can monetize our data for huge profit. They can earn even more profit from partnering with a taxpayer-stealing, privacy-violating govt that seeks control of our behavior for political ends. 15-minute Smart Cities, anyone? More like DIGITAL PRISON.
And it gets worse. All of us will be hurt via preemption, but rural residents face an additional threat - via other bills to cajole farmers to rely on wireless to move their livestock and monitor crops. The farm wireless radiation threat stems from House-passed H.R. 1618 and, from HR 7567 (the Farm bill), sections 2201-4, 6302, 6408, 7208, 7608, as well as 8414 (that would quixotically use 5G to prevent wildfires, despite known fire hazards of this technology). These sections build on similar ones from the previous Congress’ FARM bill. Agriculture wireless has - according to one court case - killed cows and depleted milk yield. Their expense will bankrupt farmers, too, leading to even more American land being purchased by Bill Gates and his globalist friends.
We need to stop both preemption and the Farm bill, but in order to do that we need your registration at the Natl Call for Safe Tech to join our semimonthly zooms to learn how to schedule meetings with your members of Congress.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Recommendations have commenced a study on wireless radiation danger at the Department of Health and Human Services, and Rep. Chris Smith of New Jersey introduced HR 8354, first introduced in the previous Congress to restore partial discretion to local officials on where to zone cell towers. (We need your help to solicit cosponsors!). But neither RFK nor Rep. Smith can stop the densifying wireless mesh without your help.
Telecom’s towers are encroaching on our bedrooms, kids’ classrooms & nearby parks. You need to help us lobby to kill their preemption efforts over local control on where towers get sited. Join our coalition to do so.
