As Open Enrollment morphs into the holidays, my MPowering Benefits advisor team wanted to thank those of you who made the jump from lousy ACA “insurance” to Medical Cost Sharing. For the rest of American families and employees stuck with ObamaCare, you can gain affordability and choice here.
As a lobbyist for a "health freedom" organization when not selling our Forbes-featured healthplan, I consider enrolling with us as a "political" action, since the price-sensitive shopping involved with MPB disgorges prices from a cartel that thrives on opaque or distorted pricing. Did you know you became a health reformer as an MPB member?
It's a political movement, actually, to upgrade American families and business owners from insurance that:
costs too much in premium,
bankrupts families with $6,000 plus deductibles, and
handcuffs doctor choice via network restrictions.
Look at this insane chart comparing monthly cost/Out of Pocket:
Millions already have joined Medical Cost Sharing communities, and with the help of a Concierge like MPB's are shopping on price for prescriptions, tests and specialists. This despite constant media hitpieces - and legislation - about Sharing that ignore worse problems with Insurance.
It's as if Insurance wasn't mistreating patients way worse than Sharing, something that belies the experience I've had myself - with the Sharing community paying over $100,000 for my late cousin's cancer, and holding our hands as we negotiated treatment options. What good is insurance, if its networks exclude the best doctors and centers of excellence a patient would seek if suffering a catastrophe like cancer or heart disease?
With Sharing we save money, gain more treatment choices and experience better customer service - don't your friends deserve to know about this?
And as I presented on my weekly Freedom Hub zoom, it's not just about upgrading patients into price-sensitive shoppers without which we can't reform American healthcare. Also, it's about Americans taking responsibility to reform government so we have more choices to get healthy:
In my blog about the above presentation, I focused on the elephant in the room - that Western society is suffering an epidemic, but it ain't Covid. Rather, it's chronic disease. And when, unfortunately, allopathic (drug-based) medicine offers very few solutions to diabetes, obesity, or the myriad other auto-immunce disorders, that failure sends suffering patients into a journey of alternative care to find healing.
Indeed, another leader I platformed on Freedom Hub said mainstream medicine was such a failure for what truly ails humanity that it has become a danger to rely on health INSURANCE!
This search for chronic disease treatments is a good thing, and fortunately our Sharing partners respect alternative choices when recovering from a catastrophe like cancer or heart disease. The tax-advantaged Health Savings Account also pays for natural (as well as allopathic) choices - as long as the provider gives you a letter (in case of IRS audit) why the condition requires naturopathy treatment, how the treatment will alleviate the conditions, and for how long the treatment is necessary.
If lacking self-employment income necessary to quality for our HSA combo with the Sharing, we offer a second account that's good for $150/monthly at a chiropractors office - which can offer a variety of adjustments, treatments and physical therapy. MPB offers also coupons for discounted services for physical and occupational therapy, gyms, yoga, accupuncturists, personal trainers, massage therapy and 35 other modalities.

If you know a family or business stuck with ObamaCare, forward this Substack to friends stuck with expensive and choice-limiting ACA plans.
Have a wonderful holiday, and don't hesitate to ask questions or contact me via my healthplan page!
